Dr. Kathleen Fraser is a dual board-certified medical dermatologist. She graduated summa cum laude from her undergraduate degree in health sciences at McMaster University. She earned her medical degree at the University of Saskatchewan, where she received numerous academic achievement awards, including being presented the Hilliard Medal in Medicine upon convocation. She then pursued and completed her dermatology residency at the University of Calgary. Throughout her training, she has been involved in teaching both residents and medical students. She has authored and published several journal articles and acted as a representative for the Canadian Dermatology Association Resident and Fellows Society. She presented her research at national and international conferences, and won several awards for this work, including at a national level from the Canadian Dermatology Association. She holds dual board certification in dermatology, as both a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Fraser is a Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Medicine, Section of Dermatology, at the University of Calgary. Her main interests are medical and surgical dermatology, including such areas as skin cancer surveillance, surgical treatment of skin cancer, acne, and autoimmune skin diseases.
