Why You Should Wear Your SPF in Winter

“But it’s winter! I don’t need to wear sunscreen.” I frequently hear this as an Aesthetician. Don’t let the cold and the clouds fool you.
Winter often leaves your skin dry and sensitive. These conditions increase susceptibility to UV rays. Snow and ice can reflect up to 90% of damaging UV rays. Protecting skin against UV damage is a year-round commitment. UV can cause fine lines, sagging skin and discolouration.
It is just as important to wear sunscreen inside. Ordinary windows do not block UV radiation--approximately 75% passes through clear glass. At Rejuvenation, we recommend wearing an SPF of 30 or higher, which will block 97% of these rays. The best way to maintain your youthful complexion is to wear your SPF product daily.

SPF is Just as Important in the Winter as in the Summer
